Practice Schedule

Track & Field

JATC trains during the track-and-field season (April through Aug.) at the Jenks High School track located one block northeast of the school campus. We meet at 6 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. A typical training session includes warm-up activities (to be completed prior to 6 p.m.), stretching and information/instruction, plyometrics, lead-ups, training, strides and cool-down runs. Training concludes at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The 8-lane, all-weather track was resurfaced in April 2006. Within the track-and-field complex are two long-/triple-jump runways and pits, dedicated pole vault and high-jump areas, and areas to train for throwing events. Hurdles, starting blocks and all necessary equipment are available. On-site restroom facilities also are accessible.

Cross Country

During cross-country season (Sept. through Dec.), we meet during the first part of the season at the Jenks High School track and then later meet at Jenks East Intermediate School in the parking lot north of the school. Training begins at 6 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., depending on outside lighting conditions. To help ensure safety, blinking arm bands are worn by all runners during cross-country training sessions. Training concludes at approximately 7:30 p.m.
